What is the difference between a REALTOR®and a real estate salesperson?
First of all, the name and logo are registered trademarks = Realtor®. In order to become a Realtor, you must belong to the National Association of Realtors® and must follow the strict Realtor Code of Ethics in handling any real estate transaction you are involve in. On the other hand, a real estate sales agent is not under any obligation to follow a Code of Ethics, but must hold a real estate license in the state they work in.
When is the best time to sell/buy a home.
Research shows that April, May & June are the best months to sell a house, and December, January & February the worst.
That also means April, May & June the worst months to buy a house and December, January & February the best months to buy.
What is your commission rate?
Our commission fee is 5% of the net sale price. BUT we can be flexible to make your sale happen.
As a buyer do I have to pay a commission?
In Massachusetts the norm is that the Seller pays the commission. But some real estate agencies have policies that an exclusive Buyer Agent could receive a commission from the Buyer as well. Best to ask before you sign an Exclusive Buyer Agency Agreement.
Is using a national real estate agency better then using a small indepdent real estate agency?
All real estate agencies use the same tools to sell your home. The key is finding a realtor that you are comfortable with, who listens to what you want and one that you trust.
